Funeral Announcement for Stephen Michael Brown
Our dear friend Stephen Michael (McCann) Brown went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, August 15, 2026, at the age of 73 after a courageous battle with cancer.
A Celebration of Life will be held this Thursday, August 20, at 11:00 a.m. at Minden Bible Church (177 Bobcaygeon Road, Minden).
A light luncheon will follow downstairs.
Steve’s family invites everyone to honour his joyful spirit by wearing bright and cheerful colours, as was his wish.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the:
Canadian Cancer Society – “Cops for Cancer”, supporting his daughter Elizabeth’s upcoming Tour de Rock cycling event.
Please continue to keep Helen and the entire Brown family in your prayers as we gather to remember and celebrate Steve’s life.
Our First Outdoor Praise & Worship Event was a wonderful success!
A huge thank‑you to Lori, Abby, and our entire MBC family for all your hard work in organizing, planning, preparing food, and setting up — and taking down — every game, tent, and piece of equipment. Your dedication made the day possible.
We also want to give a big shout‑out to the Trentside Baptist Church Youth Band for leading us in fantastic Worship, Leanne Young from Youth Unlimited for connecting with youth and parents about your amazing organization, and the Life100.3 Street Team for helping make the day extra special for the Minden community.
Our gratitude also goes to Valu‑Mart and Foodland for your generous contributions that helped make this event such a blessing.
And finally, thank you to everyone who came out to celebrate and Worship the Lord with us. We pray this day brought you as much joy as it brought to God and to our MBC family!
The Haven after-school girls' program in Minden was run previously by Youth For Christ (YFC) Kawartha Region as a girls-only faith-based group at Archie Stouffer Elementary School (12 Vintage Crescent, Minden, ON). MBC is excited to host an after-school program this fall in-house at Minden Bible Church.
Program Details/Focus:
A Girls-only group focused on energy, peer interaction, spiritual growth, reading Bible stories, and "God Talk" discussions.
Location: Minden Bible Church . 177 Bobcaygeon Rd, Minden, ON
Organizer: Youth for Christ (YFC) Kawartha Region / Youth Unlimited

Monarch Bible Camp will be bringing their fun-filled, Christ-centered day camp experience to Minden White Water Preserve this summer!
Minden Camp Dates: July 13 – July 17, 2026
Monarch Bible Camp is a mobile Christian youth ministry that partners with local churches, like us at Minden Bible Church, to make summer camp accessible and affordable for all families.
Kids will enjoy games, crafts, Bible stories, and outdoor adventures—all while learning about Jesus and building lasting friendships

It is with a heavy heart to say that our beloved Teresa passed away peacefully on March 2nd 2025 with her husband Barrie and her 5 children by her side. While we rejoice that Teresa is home with our Saviour, we grieve with her family and friends.

Minden believers, join all our town churches for the Annual Lenten Lunches! Thank you to all those who helped make these lunches a success throughout our town!
These events are being held on Wednesdays 2025 at noon.
Entrance fee is by donation each of the days below:
