See our Missions Abroad Section below for the great works through Christ she is doing for the church and God. Helping Those at Home ... Minden Community Food Centre The Minden Community Food Centre (www.mindenfoodbank.org ), formerly the Minden Food Bank, was established in 1993. Since then we have served our community by providing food, cooking classes, clothing, toys, books, medical equipment, school supplies and other household goods for those who are in need. It is also a hub in Haliburton County for food distribution to other area food banks. Pregnancy Care & Family Support Centre The Pregnancy Care & Family Support Centre (www.haliburtonpregnancycentre.ca) i s affiliated with Pregnancy Care Canada, a national best-practice Christian organization. Our Vision: to be a supporting presence and resource to people who are affected by pregnancy or the realities of parenting. Our Mission: We extend the love and grace of Jesus Christ to those with pregnancy-related challenges by providing information, practical help and emotional and spiritual support, while honouring and affirming the lives of parents and children. We are a 100% donor-supported charity and have been privileged to serve Haliburton County and beyond since 2006. All services are free and confidential, whether a pregnancy test, parenting program, post abortion support, healthy relationship program or a visit to the Clothes Closet where there are items newborn to size 3. “[..]we saw God do amazing things. Campers asked deep questions about faith, sharing how God met them in their hurts and loneliness. Kyle Young - Managing Director & Senior Youth Outreach Worker and Leanne Young - Co-Director, Community Director & Jr Youth Outreach Worker Fuel for Warmth's (www.fuelforwarmth.com ) mission is to provide temporary emergency heat assistance to those in need throughout Haliburton County. We originated this service in Haliburton County in 2009 and since then we have helped close to 1,200 individuals and families. We provide propane, oil and wood pellets, in addition to our firewood service. MARY LOU WUNKER Supporting One Mission Society, World Vision and Samaritan's Purse Missions and Projects MBC'S WORLD VISION HAITI Mary Lou has a heart for Haiti and so do we. MBC supports two children in Morne Pelee, Haiti, through World Vision. The community of Morne Pelee is home to more than 13,000 people, more than 40% of whom are under 18. Haiti is the most underdeveloped country in the Western Hemisphere. Like many rural communities, Morne Pelee has poor access to basic social services such as a safe drinking water, electricity, sanitation, recreation centers or vocational schools. The population depends mainly on agriculture, livestock and informal work, and most families are not able to meet their basic needs. Our sponsorship enables Loudjina and Evenaud to attend school, as well as supporting various community programs. Emmaus University - Haiti Loudjna Loudjna Loudjna Loudjna Evenaud Evenaud Evenaud Evenaud Claudia and Guenson's Visit to MBC June 30th, 2024 Mary Lou and MBC supports Emmaus University and works with the President Dr. Guenson Charlot, and his wife Claudia Charlot to help spread the word about the good work they are doing in Haiti for it's youth looking for a future in Divinity. Emmaus University in Haiti is known for training Christian leaders to transform Haiti and the Caribbean. The university's mission is to create leaders who are committed to making disciples and planting churches. What does Emmaus University do? Emmaus University trains leaders to be Christ-like disciples, church planters, and redemptive leaders. Emmaus University offers academic programs such as a Bachelor of Divinity, Master of Arts in Theological Studies, Master of Education, and Master of Arts in Leadership and Administration. . Pavlo and Halyna Lozynsky Pavlo Lozynsky, a Canadian of Ukrainian descent, has been serving as a missionary in Ukraine since 2005.In 2010, he and his wife Halyna started God’s Design Church in the city of Lviv in western Ukraine, focusing on evangelism, discipleship, and family ministry. They continue this ministry today. Dave and Marg are also a part of our MBC Worship Team. Len and Mary Reed Len and Mary have served with TeachBeyond (www.teachbeyond.org ) (formerly Janz Team Ministries) since 1997. Their calling and passion is to serve other missionaries and Christian workers who need a respite from their place of service, whether in Europe, Asia, Africa or South America. The facility for this service is called “Sanctuary” (www.reedsanctuary.org ). They also are a part of the team that serves their TeachBeyond missionaries (almost 1000) through prayer, connecting and mentoring. The Lord continues to use our love for Him for serve even from afar. Shirley Hamilton is a missionary, the Founder and Director Emerita of DayStar Native Outreach (daystarnativeoutreach.com). Located on Manitoulin Island in upper Lake Huron, DayStar is headquartered on the Wiikwemkoong Unceded Territory. Her work spreads to many other reserves in the Great Lakes Area, home of the Three Fires Confederacy, the tribes of the Odawa, Ojibwe and Potawatami tribes. Outreach is Shirley’s passion, working with the people, sharing the Good News of the gospel through evangelism, teaching and discipling. DayStar is known and well-accepted on many Native territories in the mid-north of Ontario. God is at work through this dynamic and pioneering ministry. Shirley Hamilton

Monarch Bible Camp's post: It is with a heavy heart to say that our beloved Teresa passed away peacefully on March 2nd 2025 with her husband Barrie and her 5 children by her side. While we rejoice that Teresa is home with our Saviour, we grieve with her family and friends. A memorial will be planned for her sometime in April.
